The town centre can be reached in a 15/20-minute walk. There is a regular bus route for the return uphill journey.
Bloomfield House was built in the 1790s and was once the home of the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress. It is a Grade II listed building and has good environmental credentials. Pets are welcome at Bloomfield House.
Full English breakfasts are organic, Fair Trade and ingredients are provided by local suppliers. Each room is individually styled, with either a four-poster or half-tester bed.
