A new extension has added 10 bedrooms to the hotel, and there is also a leisure centre and function hall. All bedrooms and public areas were refurbished in June 2008. There is free golf and swimming for guests, and free internet access in the bedrooms.

The hotel is 6 miles via a scenic single track road from the Rest-and-be-Thankful pass, and just over an hour from Glasgow Airport via Loch Lomond. There is excellent touring for Argyll on quiet roads. The scenic village of Lochgoilhead is one mile away.
