Built in around 1850, the guest house today offers high-quality accommodation for walkers, riders, cyclists, business people and holidaymakers. The peaceful, tranquil location makes the guest house a wonderful, relaxing base from which to explore the Newtown area and Mid-Wales.
The guest house is set in 4.5 acres of garden and paddocks in the beautiful Kerry Valley. All of the rooms have fine views of the gardens and the valley. Each charming en suite room is well equipped with modern facilities such as satellite TV, DVD players, tea/coffee making facilities and Wi-Fi wireless internet access on request.
With wonderful views over the garden, the guest drawing room is perfect for relaxing. The guest house also has a tennis court, kennels for dogs and horse stables.
Kerry is a small village in the Welsh Marches in Mid Wales. The area is breathtakingly beautiful, with wonderful valleys and hills to explore. There is plenty to see and do, including walking, cycling, horse riding and sightseeing. The area is also a popular spot for outdoor activities and adventure sports, including ballooning, paragliding, quad trekking, paintballing, carting and biking. The region’s magnificent scenery, challenging rock formations and mountainous terrain also make it great for abseiling, canoeing, caving and rock climbing. You could also enjoy clay pigeon and pheasant shooting or take advantage of some of the area’s magnificent golf courses. Mid Wales is a vast region, which offers a classic variety of golfing tests, suitable for players of all levels and you can also enjoy some superb scenery at the same time. Mid Wales also offers some great fishing, including fly-fishing, game angling, lake fishing and reservoir fishing. You could also hire a boat at the spectacular Lake Vyrnwy and fish for trout.
The drawing room is available to all guests and includes a 19th century Collard square piano and a TV. An internet-enabled PC is available free of charge, for guests to access email and local information.
