15 Minutes from Colchester and Ipswich, during your stay at The Crown you can explore the wonderful surroundings, including the historic villages of Dedham, Lavenham, Kersey, Clare and Long Melford. The countryside is also ideal for walking and cycling.
The 120-foot tower of St Mary's Church is a local landmark and features in the works of the 18th century landscape artist John Constable, who painted the surrounding countryside of the Dedham Vale.

The Crown also provides 11 en suite bedrooms. All are located to the rear of the property, overlooking open countryside. All rooms are individually decorated and very comfortably furnished, with handcrafted beds and Henderson Russell Furniture.
Ground floor rooms feature a stylish, contemporary design, whilst rooms on the first floor are decorated in a traditional country home style, with Enchanted House iron bedsteads. All have king size or super king size beds and one room has an emperor size bed. Three rooms, have French windows opening on to their own terrace.
Standard rooms have bathrooms with walk-in Matki showers; superior rooms have a bath with power-shower; deluxe and executive rooms have Matki walk-in showers and separate baths.
